Dr Clark Fig 2022

Dr Clark fig  Review:

Rudy, sorry but I liked how you done your review so I borrowed your format.  I am not disappointed at all by this fig. Keep in mind that it stormed the day before picking.  Even after the down pour it was still sweet but the pear flavor was very small.  I will have to try more just to make sure.  It could have being a miscall on my part but I will know more next time.  I posted some pics.  I also have some Golden Celeste that I need to look at

Weight:          49 grams
Eye:               Some what closed
Skin Color:     Yellowish with brown
Pulp:              Green/yellowish, No cavity
Taste/Flavor:   I tasted a small hint of pear.  Sweet

WL:  Thermalito, LSU(Red Extraordinaire & Tiger), Buzzone Nero, Socorro Black, Mutuant, UCR 187-25, Calderona

Other WL:  Banana(Ice Cream, Pisang Ceylon, Pisang Klotek & Praying hands).  Edible Perennials(seeds and/or cuttings).

Louisiana, 9a

I am flattered that you copied my format. It was easier to do it that way than in paragraph form.  ;D

Arturo,
Congratulations on getting Dr Clark figs already.   Mine is always slow to wake up in NJ and still is not showing signs of any figlets.   But they will come.   I also like this sugar fig, even though I have never detected a pear taste.
Wish List: Bordissot Negra Rimada, Col de Dam Gegantina

Denise,

When I saw it on your review, I said to myself I will have to borrow that idea.

John,

I like this fig.  It is amazing.  I did not taste pear last yr but I thought I did this year.  I will just pay closer attention to the next figs cause I need to know.  This is one for my earlier fig varieties.  At least they are for me.

Ben,

This one beat my Golden Celeste and my RdB which should be coming next.  I saw an RdB almost ready to be picked.
