Sangue Dolce
« on: October 03, 2020, 11:40:59 AM »
I received this tree earlier this year in a 32 oz cup.   It grew rather quickly and I didn't know if I would get any figs or not.  I got three smallish figs yesterday.   I have not had alot of different figs but this one is rather strong tasting and fruity.  Hope to have a LSU Gold to post in the next day or two.

That does look pretty tasty. I have considered this variety as the smaller figs seem to do better for me. I have never heard bad reviews of the taste of this one either.

Good Morning,

Sorry for the delay in responding.   Last year was my first year growing fig trees and this one was my best tasting one out of the 3 or 4 that produced for me.  I hope to have ALOT more this year.   I will post some pics of the tree when I get home from work.  The tree is full of small figlets this year and I hope they all result in juicy figs.  I am not sure if it is was because it was a very young tree last year but it produced very late last year in October.

Here are some updated pics of the tree.  I am currently growing all of my fig trees in pots and they seem to be doing well but they are young trees.  All are about a year old now.    I had to dodge a few raindrops to get the pics.
